Vivo V9 – Review

 What’s inside the Box ?

The inbox elements of Vivo V9 are –

The Device itself

A screen protector

A silicone Case

Pair of Earphones

Sim ejector Tool

Charging Brick

A Data syncing and charging cable

Some Manuals

Warranty Card

The fact we like about Vivo is that they are offering so much inside the box Content for Which the user have to pay a little extra from his pocket namely – a Screen protector and a silicone case which would cost a few bucks extra .

Physical Overview of Vivo V9 –

At the Left we have sim card slot which is a dual sim and a SD card slot which means the user can use three for his things namely 2 sims and a micro SD card at the same time and at the Right we have the volume rockers and the power button .

At the bottom we have the Speaker grills coupled with Charging port  and a 3.5 mm audio jack .

At the front we have the 6.3 inches FHD+ display with the 24 Mega pixels front camera and some basic sensors and a speaker grill .

At the back we have the Dual rear cameras 16 Mega pixels main camera and the 5 Mega pixels secondary Camera with LED flash ( not dual tone ) and beneath that there is a Finger Print Scanner under which there is a Vivo Branding and also there are antenna bands which run along the back of the device which would remind you of one premium device . Remember..?? .

How’s the Performance ?

Vivo V9 is a Sub 30,000 INR segment device in which the most highlighting part is the Cameras in this case both the front as well as the back cameras .

As Vivo V9 Boast 24 Mega pixels front camera and Dual rear cameras 16 Mega pixels main camera and the 5 Mega pixels secondary Camera which support AI Bokeh algorithm . Along with that the V9 also has 64 GB of internal storage from which the user gets around 52 GB ( approx ) and it supports OTG too.

The Vivo V9 is Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC which is a 64 bit processor and is clocked at 2.2 GHz which is coupled 4GB of RAM which does it’s work very well . The best thing about Vivo V9 is the dual Sim and SD card support which is a miss in other smartphones out there in the market in this Price segment .

Well we tried quite few games and it worked quite well . We did tried heavy games and it worked like a charm without a lag .

Asphalt Nitro , Modern Combat 5 , Hitman Sniper , Mekorama are few games which we tried on Vivo V9 .

What’s Powering it up ?

The Vivo V9 has a massive 3260 mAh non-removable battery which is another key highlight of this device and which also makes it fall in the category of a good device under 25,000 INR . At first use we charged the device to 100 percent then we checked the standby time it lasted for 5 days ( no kidding ) with WiFi on , no background application running ( recent applications ) , auto brightness and sometimes Data services enabled .

The Vivo V9 also lasted for 2 days of battery with minimal usage like – 4G data services on , normal web surfing with switching from one social media application to another , WiFi on , auto brightness on and yes with normal gaming too. It still had 20 percent of battery left after 2 days of usage .

How’s the camera ?

The cameras on Vivo V9 is the main highlight of the device . Whether we talk about the front or the back camera . It has a 24 Mega pixels camera front Camera and which is capable to record videos upto 4K I mean really has in this price segment no other smartphone manufacturers aren’t providing this feature . As talking about the cameras how we can forget the back cameras .

The Vivo V9 has Dual rear cameras 16 Mega pixels main camera and the 5 Mega pixels secondary Camera which support AI Bokeh algorithm and which various modes to play with and even the Pro mode works like a charm .

Here I am sharing few shots taken from the Vivo V9 in various Lighting conditions . Do have a look –

Indoor Selfies
Ambient Lighting

Ambient Lighting

Manual Mode – Light Painting
Out Doors

The camera does it’s best in the day light and the colors comes out to be great with both the front and the back cameras .

Is it Latest ?

The Vivo V9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s own new User interface – Funtouch OS 4.0 . Well that’s something really cool to find as other manufacturers in this price segment don’t give importance to the User interface but Vivo has done a great job in the UI segment .The UI is honestly speaking has got some really cool features and gestures are the thing which I liked the most and it also includes tones of customization including better RAM management .

Is it worth to Buy ?

The Vivo V9 is worth to money if you are a photography lover or always like to shoot record your special memories and also love to play in the manual mode in the camera and if you are a moderate user then Vivo V9 is the prefect companion for you . Also it’s providing bundle of things in one pack namely the inbox elements including the silicone case , screen protector and a Earphones too for which a individual would have to spend few extra bucks from there pocket .

It’s a great device to get as having a great Specifications sheet which have 64 GB of internal storage , 16+5 Mega pixels cameras and the best thing it has Dual Sim and Micro SD card slot which you can’t get in other smartphones out there .

Vivo V9 is a great device for 22,990 INR ( as mentioned on the box ) and is available on various Online Stores .
